We are currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Manager to oversee and lead our busy real estate practice on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in real estate, exceptional organizational and leadership skills, a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to manage both people and complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Overseeing day-to-day operations of the firm's real estate department, including residential and commercial transactions.
Managing, training, and supporting the firm's team of real estate clerks and administrative staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Coordinating with clients, realtors, lenders, title insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely closings.
Monitoring and allocating work among real estate team members based on capacity and transaction urgency.
Handling complex real estate transactions independently from start to finish, including purchases, sales, refinances, and private mortgages.
Identifying and resolving issues that arise during transactions in a proactive and client-focused manner.
Reporting regularly to the firm's Office Manager on real estate team performance, staffing needs, and process improvements.
Maintaining compliance with the firm's policies, professional standards and client service expectations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a real estate law clerk, including residential and commercial transactions is required.
Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a law firm or similar environment.
Excellent computer skills.
Proficiency with Teraview, Unity, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional client service skills and a commitment to maintaining the firm's reputation for excellence.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with professionalism and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and independently.
Additional Details:
Compensation:
Very competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with bonus and other perks.
Vacation:
Minimum of 3 weeks.
Regular Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including 1 hour and 15-minute lunch break. Overtime work may be required from time to time depending on departmental needs.
Work Location:
On-site (819 Queen Street East, Sault Ste. Marie).

Education:
Post Secondary Diploma or Certificate in law clerk/legal assistant studies or related field considered an asset but is not required.
