Position: Industrial Real Estate Project and Development Coordinator
Location: North York (on site) ** some travel to Aurora, Ontario will be required

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project and Development Coordinator. In this position, you will play a vital role in facilitating the successful planning, execution, and completion of real estate development projects.

The ideal candidate will have either 2 to 5 years of experience in real estate development or a bachelor\'s degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Daily access to a vehicle is required for this role since the incumbent will work on-site, daily, at our clients\' head office in North York and attend the development site in Aurora, as required.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure smooth project execution
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making processes related to zoning, permits, and regulations
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, agreements, and progress reports

Financial Management
- Assist in budget development and monitoring throughout the project lifecycle
- Track project expenses, ensuring adherence to approved budgets
- Coordinate with the finance department to process invoices, payments, and financial reporting

Communication and Reporting
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status
- Coordinate and schedule project meetings, including preparing agendas and capturing meeting minutes
- Prepare comprehensive project reports, including status updates, milestones achieved, and potential risks or issues

Compliance and Permitting
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and government agencies to ensure compliance with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and building codes
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits, licences, and approvals
- Stay updated on relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure project compliance

Risk Management
- Identify and assess potential risks and issues that may impact project progress or quality
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks and minimize their impact
- Monitor project activities to proactively identify deviations from plans and take corrective actions when necessary

Qualifications:

- Bachelor\'s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Real Estate Development, Construction Management, or a related field, or 2 to 5 years of experience in real estate development
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar
- Solid understanding of real estate development processes, regulations, and industry standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
