We are looking for a
Real Estate Associate
to join our team. The ideal candidate is an effective bilingual communicator who has a 'can-do' attitude and can perform in the fast pace of commercial real estate. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of real estate transactions across commercial asset classes and geographies and will actively support the sourcing, underwriting and execution of existing real estate investments and potential new acquisitions. The individual will be involved in all aspects of company investment-level financial analysis, supporting the preparation and maintenance of a wide array of analytical reporting, modelling and presentations. This role includes liaising with a team of internal stakeholders and external consultants throughout all phases of the real estate investment cycle.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Assist in identifying target properties that meet the firm's specified acquisition criteria
Support the due diligence process for assets under contract, including coordinating with external suppliers such as brokers, engineers, and contractors to support the due diligence process
Compile and present property and market specific reports to management
Act as a lead in the development and validation of financial models related to real estate investments
Analyze cash flows and project returns
Analyze the impact of different assumptions on performance: revenue, operating expenses, financing, tax, fees, etc.
Collaborate with senior management in active asset management of the firm's Real Estate portfolio
Assist in the preparation and management of quarterly management reports and annual property budgets, and monitor ongoing expenses to ensure alignment with financial targets
Qualifications
Proven experience in real estate financial analysis or a related field
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. Experience in analysis of real estate transactions is an asset
Strong financial management skills, including financial analysis, budgeting and expense management
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Real Estate
Bilingual in both English and French (spoken & written)
Strong proficiency with relevant computer tools such as MS Office (most specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Argus and Yardi is an asset

Taches et responsabilites
Aider a identifier les proprietes cibles repondant aux criteres d'acquisition definis par l'entreprise
Soutenir le processus de diligence raisonnable pour les actifs sous contrat, y compris la coordination avec des fournisseurs externes tels que courtiers, ingenieurs et entrepreneurs
Rediger et presenter des rapports sur les proprietes et les marches a la direction
Jouer un role cle dans le developpement et la validation de modeles financiers lies aux investissements immobiliers
Analyser les flux de tresorerie et les rendements projetes
Evaluer l'impact de differentes hypotheses sur la performance : revenus, depenses d'exploitation, financement, fiscalite, frais, etc.
Collaborer avec la haute direction a la gestion active du portefeuille immobilier de l'entreprise
Aider a la preparation et a la gestion des rapports trimestriels de gestion et des budgets annuels des proprietes, et surveiller les depenses en cours afin d'assurer leur alignement avec les objectifs financiers
Qualifications
Experience averee en analyse financiere immobiliere ou dans un domaine connexe
Minimum de deux (2) ans d'experience pertinente. Une experience en analyse de transactions immobilieres est un atout
Solides competences en gestion financiere, y compris en analyse, budgetisation et gestion des depenses
Excellentes competences organisationnelles, souci du detail et respect des delais
Capacite de communication efficace pour interagir avec divers intervenants
Exigences
Baccalaureat en finances, economie ou immobilier
Bilingue en anglais et en francais (oral et ecrit)
Maitrise des outils informatiques pertinents, notamment MS Office (particulierement Word, Excel et PowerPoint). La connaissance d'Argus et Yardi est un atout
