& Summary A career in our Property Valuation Practice, within Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to leverage specialist expertise in the real estate market. Qualification in surveyors, property valuers of internationally recognised professional bodies such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, or local professional institutes such as the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and the China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers are required.

As part of our team, you will be involved in real estate matters where we offer various kinds of services including valuations for different purposes, taxation, mergers and acquisitions and other advisory services as well as being part of the integrated deals team in offering real estate related advice to clients from an overall deals perspective.

Our Real Estate Advisory team specializes in advisory, valuation, and transaction services including real estate M&A advisory, corporate strategy and operational advisory, development advisory, data & analytics advisory, ESG, and valuations/appraisals, all of which are specifically focused within the real estate industry sector.

As a Real Estate Advisory Senior Associate, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

A team member who will be exposed to all of our Real Estate Advisory services working with our various practice discipline specialists

Assisting and/or analyzing real estate market research and analysis across multiple asset classes in numerous markets across Canada (and also from time to time the US)

Supporting various financial analysis and assisting in projects with underwriting/assessment of investment real estate

Assisting in the preparation and/or review of real estate valuation analyses and appraisals

Supporting the preparation of thought leadership, be instrumental in business development, and prepare various deliverables using appropriate industry and business acumen

Interacting with various clients, advisors, and stakeholder groups

Interacting with key members within the PwC Real Estate team, PwC\xe2\x80\x99s broader Deals group (e.g. restructuring, value creation), and our firm-wide real estate group (tax, assurance, etc.)

You will play an essential role as part of a team working on client engagements. Your work will include hands-on work with diverse real estate advisory projects such as valuations & appraisals, M&A (sell-side, buy-side, joint ventures and structured transactions), development and feasibility analysis (including pro-forma modelling and data analytics), ESG real estate strategy, and analysis on corporate real estate portfolios. Such projects will include document preparation (pitches, reports, information memorandums, market assessments) and interactions with a variety of clients.

Experiences and skills you\xe2\x80\x99ll use to solve

Experience in real estate, preferably working within a valuation environment or consulting firm

Real estate background in valuations, transactions, corporate real estate (i.e. occupiers of real estate), asset & investment management; some knowledge in one or more of the following would be favourable: valuations/appraisals, data analytics, financial modelling and/or due diligence

An interest in attaining the AACI appraisal designation is desirable

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for various financial analyses is desirable

Proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Google Slides for pitches, presentations, and deliverables

Ability to multitask on competing deadlines within a fast paced and team-oriented environment

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
