ABOUT THE ROLE
Ready Mix Drivers
are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to Job Sites; home owner and industry clients. In this role as a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a Friendly attitude to ensure customers receive a high-level delivery and Product from Lafarge within
the BHP Billiton - Jansen Mine Site
. This is a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly professional approach.
This is a camp position. Food and lodging are provided for the duration of employment. The candidate must have their own transportation for commuting to and from the site during the rotation.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Adhere to all Lafarge safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post trip inspections, having a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.
Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography. Own the satisfaction of these customers at all times.
Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery. Maintain a delivery service that is a positive, hassle-free experience for Lafarge's customers.
Maintain strong working relationships with Logistics, and Operations teams as well as fellow operators.
Lafarge Ready Mix Training Program provided.
Able to perform operation on electronic devices (Tablets, GPS, etc...)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Schedule:
14 days on, 7 days off
Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Required Work Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of related experience. Preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience. Understanding of the building materials industry, including product knowledge, an asset.
Required Training/Certifications:
Needs to have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q -

Additional Requirements:
Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts as well as be available weekends.
Be able to lift >50lbs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform tasks on Electronic devices such as Tablets

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
