Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in dental software systems.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
• Handle administrative tasks including billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care in a friendly environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with pediatric or orthodontic dentistry is a plus.
• Proficiency in dental software systems such as Epic or Dentrix.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.75-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
