Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to our dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and familiarity with dental software systems.

Hours:

Monday 2:30pm - 7:30pm (min. of 2 per month)

Thursdays 8:00am-4:00pm

Saturday 8:45am-2:15pm (2 per month)

Schedule is posted a year in advance for your planning.

Responsibilities



Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using ClearDent software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with the dental receptionist for optimal patient flow. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with health regulations. Support orthodontic procedures as needed, including patient preparation and follow-up care. Work collaboratively with the team to provide excellent service in a pediatric setting when required. Utilize CAD technology for assisting in the creation of dental appliances.

Qualifications



Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with dental software systems. Some experience in orthodontics is an asset but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
