About the role
The R&D Systems Engineering intern works in collaboration with the R&D Engineering team to design cutting-edge medical devices through testing and create various technical documents.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researches, develops, designs, and evaluates electrical and electro-mechanical material, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment.
  • Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality.
  • Develops new concepts from initial design to market release.
  • Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities.
  • Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
  • Continuously improve processes and work methodologies (using agile/lean principles to eliminate waste) to help solve complex problems.
  • Contribute to software/system risk assessment activities, Use Design FMEA's activities.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or biomedical engineering
  • 1+ years of experience with product development activities in a regulated industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with power circuit design / power semiconductors and magnetic components.
  • Experience with analog circuit design.
  • Experience with low-speed digital circuit design.

  • Ability to work with a team efficiently and independently.

A propos du poste
Le stagiaire en ingenierie de R. et D. des systemes travaille en collaboration avec l'equipe d'ingenierie de R. et D. pour concevoir des dispositifs medicaux de pointe en les testant et creer divers documents techniques.
Responsabilites
  • Effectuer des recherches, developper, concevoir et evaluer du materiel, des composants, des assemblages, des processus ou des equipements electriques et electromecaniques.
  • Mener des etudes de faisabilite pour verifier les capacites et les fonctionnalites.
  • Developper de nouveaux concepts, de l'etude initiale a la mise sur le marche.
  • Diriger du personnel de soutien et coordonner les activites liees aux projets.
  • Assurer la tenue d'une documentation detaillee a toutes les etapes du processus de recherche et de developpement.
  • Ameliorer en permanence les processus et les methodes de travail (en appliquant les principes Agile/Lean pour eliminer le gaspillage) afin de contribuer a la resolution de problemes complexes.
  • Contribuer aux activites d'evaluation des risques des logiciels et des systemes; utiliser les activites d'AMDE de conception.
Competences requises
  • Baccalaureat en genie electrique ou biomedical.
  • Au moins un an d'experience dans des activites de developpement de produits dans un secteur reglemente.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en matiere de resolution de problemes dans un environnement d'equipe.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en matiere d'organisation, de communication et de collaboration.
  • Solides competences en matiere de documentation.
Competences souhaitees
  • Experience dans le domaine de la conception de circuits de puissance, de semi-conducteurs de puissance et de composants magnetiques.
  • Experience dans le domaine de la conception de circuits analogiques.
  • Experience dans le domaine de la conception de circuits numeriques a basse vitesse.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en matiere d'organisation, de communication et de collaboration.

Maximum Salary: $56800
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see --will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
