L'expert en emballage CI&TS possede une vaste experience pour stimuler l'innovation, la durabilite, la qualite et la securite de nos solutions d'emballage. Ce role sera essentiel dans l'elaboration et la mise en oeuvre de notre strategie d'emballage qui s'aligne sur les engagements de Barry Callebaut en matiere de durabilite tout en garantissant des performances, une conformite et une rentabilite optimales. Il/elle apportera une expertise approfondie et un leadership dans le developpement d'emballages, l'optimisation des processus et la planification strategique.

pour reduire les plaintes des clients concernant l'emballage,
pour introduire et developper davantage de solutions d'emballage durables,
pour ajouter de la valeur commerciale grace a des projets d'innovation et de renovation majeurs en matiere d'emballage,
pour generer des economies grace a des solutions d'emballage plus intelligentes et optimisees.
Responsabilites principales :
Soutenir le developpement d'une strategie de portefeuille d'emballages.
Identifier les besoins en emballage a partir des besoins commerciaux/du marche/des clients et les transformer en opportunites d'innovation pour Barry Callebaut via l'entonnoir d'innovation.
Explorer et surveiller les nouvelles possibilites d'innovation des differents fournisseurs (d'emballage) et les utiliser pour apporter des changements importants en termes de qualite, de durabilite ou de methodes de travail.
Traduire les defis complexes en matiere d'emballage en un besoin defini de nouveaux materiaux/capacites et investissements (analyse de rentabilite).
Definir, concevoir et mettre en oeuvre de maniere holistique des concepts d'emballage (innovants), en tenant compte de tous les facteurs internes/externes.
Diriger des equipes interfonctionnelles et des parties prenantes externes pour repondre aux besoins de l'entreprise, des clients et des consommateurs.
Diriger la mise en oeuvre de projets a fort impact sur la ou les lignes de production de BC.
Etre le point de contact unique pour une ou plusieurs familles/sujets d'emballage, dans la region et au-dela (par le biais de groupes de discussion).
Former les personnes sur les processus actuels, les concepts d'emballage et les exigences de qualite des emballages/produits.
Profil recherche :
Diplome technique en sciences ou en ingenierie (emballage) ou equivalent par experience
Minimum 10 ans d'experience dans le domaine du developpement et du lancement de concepts d'emballage dans un environnement industriel
Solides connaissances en emballage, (en partie) acquises dans l'industrie alimentaire
Solides competences en gestion de projet et capacite a travailler en collaboration
Solides competences en raisonnement analytique et conceptuel
Experience des tests de performance d'emballage, du controle qualite et des normes de conformite
Maitrise des logiciels d'emballage et des outils d'analyse technique
Maitrise du francais et de l'anglais, des langues supplementaires sont un plus
Capacite a gerer de multiples objectifs / projets complexes de maniere autonome
Connaissance des tendances, des materiaux et des reglementations en matiere d'emballage (durable)
Capacite a stimuler l'innovation et l'amelioration continue des solutions d'emballage
Capacite a traduire des idees et des concepts en une presentation commerciale
Capacite a influencer les pairs R&D (sans leadership direct) et les fonctions de Directeur / VP
Aptitude au reseautage
Capacite a travailler dans des equipes multifonctionnelles / multiculturelles

About the role:
The CI&TS Packaging Expert has extensive experience to drive innovation, sustainability, quality, and safety in our packaging solutions. This role will be integral in developing and implementing our packaging strategy that aligns with Barry Callebaut's sustainability commitments while ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. He/She will bring deep expertise and leadership in packaging development, process optimization, and strategic planning.
Our packaging solutions should be Desirable, feasible & viable:
to reduce packaging customer complaints,
to introduce and further develop sustainable packaging solutions,
to add business value through packaging big bet innovation and renovation projects,
to generate cost savings through smarter and optimized packaging solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the development of a packaging portfolio strategy.
Identify packaging needs from business / market / customer needs and transform them into innovation opportunities for Barry Callebaut through the Innovation funnel.
Explore and monitor new innovation possibilities of various (packaging) suppliers and use these to drive step changes in quality, sustainability or ways of working.
Translate (complex) packaging challenges in a defined need for new materials / capabilities & investments (business case).
Define, design and implement holistically (innovative) packaging concepts, taking all internal / external factors into account.
Lead cross functional teams & external stakeholders to meet the needs of business, customers and consumers.
Drive the implementation of high-impact projects on BC production line(s).
Be a SPOC in one or several packaging families / topics, in the region and beyond (through our Focus groups).
Train people on current processes, packaging concepts and packaging / product quality requirements.
About you:
Technical degree in science or engineering (packaging) or equivalent by experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of development and launch of packaging concepts in an industrial environment
Strong knowledge of packaging, (partly) acquired in the food industry
Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively
Strong analytical and conceptual reasoning skills
Experience in packaging performance testing, quality control, and compliance standards
Proficiency in packaging software and technical analysis tools
Proficiency in French and English, additional languages are a plus
Ability to manage multiple complex objectives/projects autonomously
Knowledge of packaging trends, materials, and (sustainable) regulations
Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in packaging solutions
Ability to translate ideas and concepts into a business presentation
Ability to influence R&D peers (without direct leadership) and Director/VP functions
Networking skills
Ability to work in multifunctional/multicultural teams
