Description

En tant qu\'ing\xc3\xa9nieur m\xc3\xa9tallurgiste R&D, vous ferez partie d\'une \xc3\xa9quipe d\'ing\xc3\xa9nierie compos\xc3\xa9e de 10 membres . Relevant du directeur principal de l\'ing\xc3\xa9nierie, vous aurez le mandat de r\xc3\xa9aliser et de g\xc3\xa9rer des projets de conception, d\'am\xc3\xa9lioration et de d\xc3\xa9veloppement de produits diamant\xc3\xa9s au sein de l\'ing\xc3\xa9nierie de Fordia. L\'ing\xc3\xa9nieur m\xc3\xa9tallurgiste R&D a aussi la responsabilit\xc3\xa9 d\'assurer une veille sur les besoins des clients et du r\xc3\xa9seau interne de vendeurs et techniciens pour supporter le d\xc3\xa9veloppement des affaires.

• R\xc3\xa9aliser des activit\xc3\xa9s de conception, de prototypage et d\'analyse dans le cadre du d\xc3\xa9veloppement de nouveaux outils diamant\xc3\xa9s selon les priorit\xc3\xa9s \xc3\xa9tablies avec le comit\xc3\xa9 de produit
• Caract\xc3\xa9riser, analyser et \xc3\xa9laborer des produits m\xc3\xa9talliques et composites fabriqu\xc3\xa9s par m\xc3\xa9tallurgie des poudres
• Effectuer des \xc3\xa9tudes sur les propri\xc3\xa9t\xc3\xa9s et les caract\xc3\xa9ristiques des mat\xc3\xa9riaux.
• Participer avec les techniciens \xc3\xa0 des tests sur des sites de forage d\'exploration mini\xc3\xa8re pour la validation technique des produits selon le plan de validation
• Participer \xc3\xa0 identifier, d\xc3\xa9velopper et encadrer des partenariats de recherche et d\xc3\xa9veloppement avec des compagnies, des organismes, des institutions d\'enseignement, ou autre
• Effectuer des activit\xc3\xa9s de veille (veille brevets et technologique, concurrentielle) pour identifier de nouvelles orientations scientifiques et opportunit\xc3\xa9s de d\xc3\xa9veloppement
• Participer \xc3\xa0 des rencontres rassemblant les techniciens de chantier pour bonifier le portefeuille de projets de d\xc3\xa9veloppement ainsi que pour obtenir leur r\xc3\xa9troaction sur les produits de Fordia, sur ceux des concurrents et sur nos projets R&D en cours
• Supporter le d\xc3\xa9partement de production et les sous-traitants dans la r\xc3\xa9solution de probl\xc3\xa8mes lors de la fabrication des produits
• Supporter le d\xc3\xa9partement de qualit\xc3\xa9 dans l\'analyse des non-conformit\xc3\xa9s internes ou externes
• Donner de la formation technique sur le forage et sur les produits utilis\xc3\xa9s selon le plan de formation
• Participer au processus de demande de cr\xc3\xa9dits et de subvention dans le cadre de projets de d\xc3\xa9veloppement
• Assister le d\xc3\xa9partement des achats dans la qualification de fournisseurs critiques
• Assister le d\xc3\xa9partement d\'am\xc3\xa9lioration continue dans le d\xc3\xa9ploiement d\'\xc3\xa9quipements ayant un impact sur le proc\xc3\xa9d\xc3\xa9 de fabrication

Description

As an R&D metallurgical engineer, you will be part of an engineering team of 10 members. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, you will have the mandate to carry out and manage design, improvement and development projects for diamond products within Fordia\'s engineering. The R&D metallurgical engineer is also responsible for monitoring the needs of customers and the internal network of salespeople and technicians to support business development.

o Carry out design, prototyping and analysis activities as part of the development of new diamond tools according to the priorities established with the product committee

o Characterize, analyze and develop composite products manufactured by powder metallurgy

o Perform studies on the properties and characteristics of materials.

o Participate with technicians in tests on mining exploration drilling sites for the technical validation of products according to the validation plan

o Participate in identifying, developing and supervising research and development partnerships with companies, organizations, educational institutions, or other

o Perform watch activities (patent and technology watch, competition) to identify new scientific directions and development opportunities

o Participate in meetings bringing together site technicians to improve the portfolio of development projects as well as to obtain their feedback on Fordia\'s products, those of competitors and our ongoing R&D projects

o Support the production department and subcontractors in solving problems during product manufacturing

o Support the quality department in the analysis of internal or external non-conformities

o Provide technical training on drilling and on the products used according to the training plan

o Participate in the credit and grant application process for development projects

o Assist the purchasing department in the qualification of critical suppliers

o Assist the continuous improvement department in the deployment of equipment having an impact on the manufacturing process

Required skills

Knowledge, skills and abilities

o Experience in a manufacturing environment

o Experience in project management

o Knowledge of product development and powder metallurgy processes.

o Knowledge of additive manufacturing (asset)

o Scientific curiosity, resourcefulness, tact and diplomacy, results-oriented

o Business trips (4-6 weeks/year)

o Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written
