Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and companionship to an individual in need of assistance with daily activities in their home and eventually in their long term care facility for 2-3 hours a day for 4-5 days per week. Flexible schedule. This role involves fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for the client, promoting their well-being and independence. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to help others and have excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with the individual.

Responsibilities

Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life. Help with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or recreational activities as needed. Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to family members. Follow care plans and document services provided accurately.

Requirements

Compassionate nature with a strong desire to assist others. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. RCW or PSW graduate. Prior experience in caregiving, healthcare, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary. Vulnerable sector background check and any required health screenings. Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus but not required; training available for certification.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 14 per week
