Reporting to the Assistant Facility Manager and the Facility Manager, the RAS Aquaculture Technician is responsible for managing the daily operations, maintenance, and upkeep of RAS systems to ensure optimal conditions for the fish.

Key Responsibilities
General facility cleaning and maintenance;
Assisting the team with the required daily tasks;
Have a good understanding of the biosecurity procedures and policies;
Handling various chemicals safely and responsibly;
Basic data entry and record keeping;
Understand fish behaviour and feed response;
Understand different mortality causes in various life stages;
Understand oxygen control;
Any concerns or incidents related to the fish, equipment, or OHS must be reported immediately to the facility manager;
Understand and adhere to government regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Workplace NL, and Company biosecurity rules and practices;
Ensure full adherence to and compliance with all procedures and policies established by the Grieg Seafood group of companies;
Other duties as assigned.

Training, Education, and Experience
High school diploma required. Candidates with aquaculture-related experience and/or education will be preferred.
Working Schedule
Aquaculture Technicians work eight (8) consecutive ten (10) hour work days and get six (6) days off before returning to work. 40-hour work week.
