Safety Justifications/Certificates
required for system acceptance by regulatory bodies and customers.
Ensure compliance with defined
Safety Integrity Levels (SIL)
, typically
SIL 2 to SIL 4
for critical railway door functions.
Design Support & Validation:
Provide input to the design team to ensure inherent
reliability and maintainability
are incorporated from the initial stages.
Review and approve test specifications and procedures to ensure comprehensive
RAMS verification and validation
.

design reviews
(PDR, CDR) to assess RAMS implications.
Maintenance & Operation:
Develop
Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
models and analyses.
Analyze field data,
failure statistics
, and maintenance records to identify reliability issues and propose corrective actions.
