Position and Responsibilities

  • Assist in Operating Raisebore drills and all associated equipment
  • Assist in the moving, set-up, teardown, and placements of Raise Bore Drilling equipment and Drills
  • Assist in the installation and removal of bits and reamers.
Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Previous work as a raisebore operator helper in a mining environment
  • Minimum of 2 years underground work experience
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Rotating day shift/night shift schedule
Assets:
  • Experience in longhole drilling and blasting
  • Ability to operate small pieces of equipment (skid steer)
Preference will be given to qualified internal applicants and Residents of Saskatchewan\'s North.

The McArthur River operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
