About the Opportunity
The South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) in Bridgewater has a 3 month temporary appointment position in in diagnostic radiology. There is the potential for this to be extended to a 6 month temporary appointment or longer. The successful applicant will join 5 radiologists to provide diagnostic imaging services to the SSRH, Queen\xe2\x80\x99s General Hospital and Fisherman Memorial Hospital as well as call coverage. South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH), is a primary and secondary care hospital and designated district trauma centre. SSRH has 85 inpatient beds including medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, and mental health units. The modern regional hospital is the cornerstone of Bridgewater\xe2\x80\x99s residents and surrounding community members\xe2\x80\x99 quality of life. Services: ambulatory care anesthesiology cancer care and support services continuing care diagnostic imaging (including CT scan, mammography, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound) electrocardiography department emergency medicine general medicine internal medicine intensive care unit (ICU) medical and surgical units mental health and addictions services midwifery program Nova Scotia hearing and speech clinic nutrition and diabetic counselling obstetrics and gynecology services occupational therapy palliative care perioperative services physiotherapy plastic surgery psychiatry respiratory therapy social work surgical intermediate care unit (SIMCU) telehealth services walk-in clinic
Responsibilities
Diagnostic imaging services including CT, ultrasound, x-ray, mammography and nuclear medicine
Various image guided procedures
Physician will be responsible to the Zone Department of Radiology for professional responsibilities and quality of practice, as well as operated within the medical staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health
Provide hospital and call support as required
Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
certification with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC)
