Stena Drilling is delighted to be commencing operations offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada for an anticipated Five (5) month drilling campaign onboard the Stena IceMAX Drillship. There are currently temporary opportunities for 2 Radio Room Administrative Operators, working on a 28/28 on/off rotation. Please note there is a possibility that successful candidates will be required to join the drillship overseas at an international location prior to mobilizing to NL. Wage: $40.09 CAD per hour Benefits: Dental, Life, Medical, Vision, and where applicable, Offshore Allowance. Job Duties:
Maintain Radio watch and monitor traffic on all communication systems. Advise Master/OIM or deputy of any emergency situation in vicinity of installation.
During emergencies, man the Emergency Control Centre (ECC) and maintain communications following Master/OIM instructions.
Maintain the Installation POB documentation & update the Muster lists, Helicopter passenger lists & evacuation lists as required by the Master/OIM.
Liaise with the camp boss on the correct cabin allocation as per the POB updates.
Advise the Master /OIM, Barge master & HLO on the helicopter scheduling.
General clerical and administrative work as required by Rig Management.
Control of incoming and outgoing mail.
Have a good working knowledge of the telephone switchboard and computers.
Maintain a log of hours worked by all personnel onboard as required by the Master/ OIM.
Any other duties as required by the Master/OIM.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
Good knowledge of computer programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) VHF / UHF
Previous offshore administration experience
8 years relative experience
