Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | Permanent

Schedule: Weekdays (Monday-Friday) | Flexible hours as required for patient care

Compensation: Competitive fee-for-service (OHIP) or hospital-affiliated compensation model

(based on experience and volume)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Medicine Specialist to join our

growing oncology team in Etobicoke and Toronto. The successful candidate will provide

comprehensive radiation therapy services, from initial consultation and treatment planning to

delivery and follow-up, within a multidisciplinary cancer care environment.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced

linear accelerators, image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), and stereotactic systems. You'll

collaborate closely with medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and oncology

specialists to deliver precise, patient-centered cancer care that aligns with the highest standards

of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

? Conduct thorough consultations and clinical evaluations for patients requiring radiation

therapy.

? Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicists and dosimetrists

using advanced imaging and planning technologies.

? Approve and oversee radiation dose calculations, beam configurations, and patient

setups.

? Supervise the delivery of radiation therapy and ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance

with established protocols.

? Manage patient care throughout treatment, addressing side effects, complications, and

ongoing support needs.

? Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and collaborative care

planning.

? Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in electronic medical record (EMR)

systems.

? Contribute to ongoing quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement (QI) initiatives

within the radiation medicine department.

? Engage in clinical teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students

as applicable.

? Participate in research or clinical trials related to oncology and radiation medicine

(optional).

Qualifications

? Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent from a recognized medical institution.

? Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in

Radiation Oncology.

? Licensed (or eligible for licensure) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of

Ontario (CPSO).

? Demonstrated expertise in radiation therapy planning, delivery, and oncology care.

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to multidisciplinary
