SkyNorth Air Ambulance

is accepting applications for Quick Turn Paramedics (ACP) and Nurses (RN)

Quick Turn Aero-A assumes transfer of patient care from the flight crew to the receiving hospital.

Positions available (3):

Two (2) positions with a minimum of a three day commitment per month is required. (days do not have to be consecutive)

One (1) position with the schedule of 4-On / 4-Off rotation. (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

Requirements:

- Paramedics must be current with the College of Paramedics of Manitoba (collegeparamb.ca)

- Paramedics must be currently practicing and have graduated from a recognized Advance Care Paramedic (ACP) program

- Nurses must be current with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (

www.crnm.mb.ca

).

- Nurses must have graduated from a recognized critical care / emergency course or have two years of related experience.

- Two years of practicing as an ACP or ER experience is preferred.

Must be certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS and one of the following trauma courses - TNCC, PHTLS or ITLS.

- Manitoba Child abuse Registry clearance required (max 60 days old).

- Criminal Record Check with vulnerable person clearance required (max 60 days old).

- All Aeromedical Attendants must complete a recognized CAMATA course / or equivalent such as ORNGE - Aeromedical Theory Course (online)

A Quick Turn Aero-A is on call from home during the scheduled shift and must be available to meet landing aircraft at the Winnipeg Airport with a notice of 60 - 90 mins.

- Job orientation will be provided - duration will depend on individual comfort level.

- Proven ability to perform effectively in both a team environment and independently.

- Must have strong decision making skills and able to adapt well to a changing environment.
