About the Role:

Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, the Quebec Sales Representative is responsible for providing exclusive representation of the Nutram brand in the assigned territory of Quebec. This position will ensure that Nutram products are available on-the-shelves at retailers' premises and drive consumer purchases.

What You'll Do:

The securing of new business for the Nutram brand in current retail stores and acquire new retail stores. Working closely with Quebec distributers but reporting solely to Nutram Pet Products VP Sales & Marketing. Attend store events including training seminars, community events, consumer shows and industry trade shows, as required, to promote the Nutram brand. Acting Account Manager for all Pet Specialty Chains in Quebec (assisted by NPP Head Office personnel). Working closely with NPP Quebec distributor, and communicating NPP direction to distributor (assisted by NPP Head Office personnel). Regularly calling on and work closely with current key 'A', 'B' and 'C' retailers to ensure maximum product placement and execution of promotions. Creating a territory 'game plan' to identify, target, visit and secure opportunities and accounts within the designated territory. Developing and maintaining a professional relationship with the Nutram distributor, to ensure volume growth and professional, flawless on-the-ground execution of the Nutram brand in the designated territory. Communicating and gaining alignment on the Nutram strategy & tactics with distributor and sales/marketing personnel. Communicating and driving promotional grid execution and effective retail coverage by distributor's sales force in designated territory. Ensuring the distributor maintains adequate inventory to continue to increase business. Being the internal voice of the customer, i.e. retailers & distributors. Providing accurate sales forecasting as required by VP Sales & Marketing. Assisting Nutram Pet Products Marketing team in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed. Other duties as required.

What You'll Bring:

Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field. Bilingual in English and French required. 3 to 5 years' experience in sales and marketing preferably in the pet food industry. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics (retailer and distributor) and requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information. Ability to take direction and work effectively in a remote and independent environment with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel and work on a global team. Excellent project management skills. Solid negotiation skills.
