Quarry Worker Ground Worker / Tower Operator
Job Description
Ace Enterprises Ltd is a 100% locally owned & operated construction company located in Yellowknife, NT. Established in 1994, we specialize in aggregates, sewer & water, asphalt and concrete. We are seeking Ground Men / Tower Operators to start immediately. We are looking for individuals who are punctual and reliable, have a positive attitude, and want to grow with our company. Responsibilities & Duties:
Ensure safety is a top priority at all times
Operate crusher equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
Perform repair maintenance and screen changes on crusher equipment
Monitor all equipment performance indicators from tower position
Conduct pre-trip and safety checks of equipment including routine cleaning to ensure smooth operation of equipment
Report all incidents and near misses to direct supervisor
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience in large crushing operations in granular and hard rock materials Experience working with tracked aggregate plants is considered an asset Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including kneeling and standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Experience/qualifications:
Minimum two (2) year experience in crusher operation is required
Job requirements:
Valid drivers license Ability to lift 50lbs Ability to use hand tools Experience operating equipment is an asset, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$44.00 per hour
