Quality Technician

Job Summary

The Quality Technician will monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The Quality Technician responsibilities include developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems.



Duties & Responsibilities
Implementing quality standards Implementing quality control systems Monitoring and analyzing quality performance Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met Collaborating with operations managers and/or production supervisors to develop and implement controls and improvements Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues Collaborates with department managers to implement corrective actions, solutions, and improvements Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes Maintain health and safety of plant/operations area Additional duties, as required

Quality Control Manager




Required Qualifications

:





Education
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred ASQ certification preferred Project Management certificate in progress or completed is an asset Lean six-sigma certificate completed is preferred



Knowledge
Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards highly preferred Understanding of technical documentation and industrial sector Knowledge in Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), DFMEA, PFMEA and Root Cause Analysis Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite



Experience
2+ years of experience in the quality department, quality assurance, or a similar role Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in automotive, EV charging and electrical industries is preferred Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results Organize and report test results Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Experience in using measuring equipment (Caliper, Micrometer, High gauge, Profile Projector, etc.). Basic understanding of electrical tools (multimeter)

Ability to work in groups as well as independently with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to suggest improvements to procedures and methodologies Ability to provide clear and concise technical documentation
