The

Quality Technician

is required to work with all production departments in ensuring weld integrity of product and provide support to the internal labs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform weld verification requirements for plant and customer needs ensuring accuracy to the required test standards Provide weld verification support for new product activities, process change activities and problem investigations Create and maintain proper documentation of inspection results Maintain microscope in good working condition and perform validation checks during and after machine use Maintain weekly and monthly reporting metrics Provide support for CMM and Laser Scanner measurement activities Provide support for Gauge Calibration and Repair activities All other relevant duties

Minimum Education / Training Required

Quality Assurance Certificate or equivalent certificate or diploma Grade 12, GED, or equivalent 3 years related experience in Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing Knowledge of GD&T and Blueprint data interpretation 3 years experience with stamping, welding and assembly processes Computer efficiency and systems knowledge in all required areas (i.e. Windows, Excel, Word)
