Quality Technician, 12-hour continental position

What you\'ll be doing:
The Quality Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance of the quality management system and supporting key departmental objectives in our clients manufacturing plant.

A day in your life might include\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Determining priorities with the Quality Manager, implementing assigned projects and maintaining detailed documentation as required
  • Communicating clearly, effectively and professionally within the Quality Team
  • Updating the Quality Manager with any issues that could affect customer satisfaction
  • Participating on the Internal Audit Team
  • Working closely with the Quality manager, Production manager & Production colleagues to determine the root cause with non-conformances
  • Assuming ownership of projects and working independently to reach departmental and company goals
  • Recommending and implementing process and equipment upgrades
  • Demonstrating awareness of and adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Identifying, isolating and documenting non-conformances
  • Performing dimensional studies

  • Knowledge of ASTM Standards

  • Adaptive and proactive approach to daily occurrences
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to ensure that all manufactured product meets or exceeds specification through daily inspections
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word), Lotus Notes and statistical / SPC software
  • Scientific / analytical approach to problem solving and equipment usage
  • Experience in a Quality field with exposure to root cause analysis problem solving skills is considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance or Science-based program and/or acceptable combination of education, training and experience is considered an asset
