We are currently looking for a
Quality Technician
to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and company specifications
Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials / in-coming components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements
Perform first article, in-process, and the final inspections to support the product qualification process including supplier quality audits
Approves in-coming, first-off and last-off product
Document and report inspection findings / results and when applicable monitors corrective actions to inspection findings
Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment at shop floor as per calibration schedule
Review Engineering revision status with the Quality Control Supervisor.
Participate in ISO9001:2015 Internal Audits
Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions and train staff on QA techniques
Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required
Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs; logs the non-conformities and when applicable generates quality concern notification
Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures and comply with all quality and safety requirements
All other duties and related projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Able to understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GDT) method
Must be mechanically inclined
Must read and interpret specifications and part drawings
Must have previous experience in operating a CMM
Must be able to use various measuring instruments
Poses excellent organizational and analytical skills
Computer literate - Microsoft applications, an asset
Good communication skills both written and verbal in English
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and persistence in resolving issues and discrepancies
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Community College Certificate/Diploma or related work experience
Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in machining environment
Must have ISO 9001 experience.
