Camfil Power Systems is a leading supplier of air filtration and acoustic treatment systems for gas turbines with its headquarters for the Americas in Laval. Your primary function would consist of the following activities:

Review, interpret customer specifications and contractual documents (drawings, standards, procedures, welding and painting requirements). Perform quality review of engineering drawings. Review, create or release Camfil work instructions. Support PE and Eng with manufacturing guidance and recommendation. Support the quality department with the management of customer complaints. Release remotely manufactured parts from suppliers. Verify compliance of Manufacturing: History dockets including: Quality Plans (MQP, ITP, traceability records, certificates of conformity). Screw conveyors, jib cranes, structures, hardware, mounting kits. Perform supplier quality audit and maintain approved supplier list. Examine and validate material certificates (MTR / Mill Test Certificates) in accordance with applicable standards (ASME B31.1, B31.3, CSA W59). Support receiving inspection of electrical and mechanical components. Perform Supplier site inspections and document findings with photos and inspection reports Verify completeness of supplier history dockets or fabrication records for air inlet filter house components in collaboration with Quality coordinator. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and logistics departments to resolve non-conformities. Apply continuous improvement principles to enhance supplier quality performance.
Do you have the following requirements?

College diploma or university degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Metallurgy, or Quality Assurance. Visual Welding Inspection Certification (e.g., CSA W178.2 Level II) - an asset. Knowledge of ASME B31.1 / B31.3, CSA W59, ISO 12944, ISO 9001 standards. Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Pro, and SharePoint. Internal auditor experience - an asset. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in quality inspection within a metallic, welded, or mechanical assembly environment. Previous experience in supplier inspection or ISO 9001 / ASME / CWB / AWS certified environment. Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and accuracy Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols. Knowledge of welding processes and visual inspection requirements. Good understanding of material certificates and quality documentation (MTR, FAI, ITP). Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team (Quality, Engineering, Production). Availability for occasional travel to suppliers (domestic and international). Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
