High Definition Concrete Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Quality Manager to join our rapidly growing team. High Definition Concrete is a multigenerational concrete company privately owned and operated in the Greater Vancouver Area. HD is union-affiliated employer that is always seeking ways to innovate within the concrete space and service our clients needs across our business segments: Ready-Mix Concrete, Volumetric Concrete, Laboratory Services, Research and Development.
As the Quality Manager at High Definition Concrete, your job responsibilities will consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical oversight and guidance to concrete testing technicians with a specific focus on testing and adherence to company quality standards.
Act as point of contact with customers for resolving Quality related issues.
Prepare and review ready mix concrete submittal packages to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering drawings.
Identify and implement process improvement strategies with a focus on elevating product quality standards and efficiencies.
Support the sales and operations teams by reviewing project requirements, offering technical expertise and addressing quality related inquiries.
Review all test report data ensuring to identify and escalate any non-comformances to the key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders and provide technical support and troubleshooting for QC issues, supporting plant operators, ensuring alignment on quality and technical expectations.
Requirements for the role include:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the ready-mix concrete, construction materials, or related industries, with proven track record of supervising and developing technical staff.
Strong technical knowledge of mix designs, control procedures, and product applications, with a comprehensive understanding of applicable codes, standards, and test methods.
Proven leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including the use of relevant software applications, and strong technical writing abilities.
