Your Opportunity:The Provincial Quality Lead is a professional role within Provincial Seniors Health and Continuing Care reporting to the Director Clinical Standardization. This role works with a high degree of independence to support the provincial adoption, implementation and sustained use of standardized clinical assessments, processes and practices in Continuing Care and to promote clinical best practice for safe, quality care. This position is responsible for establishing and sustaining working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at provincial, zone and program levels (Zone operations, provincial Continuing Care, Alberta Health, Analytics) to: Support provincial use of current, and adoption/implementation of the new suite of interRAI assessments, processes and best clinical practices in Continuing Care. A specific focus of this role will be leading/participating in on-site interRAI Quality Reviews at Continuing Care Home (CCH) Type A/B sites across Alberta. This position will require provincial travel. Additionally, the role is responsible for the interRAI competency Learning Management System used by ~4000 assessors across the province. The role provides subject matter expertise around clinical assessments used in Continuing Care to inform the development of Connect Care. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to use information/data available from standardized clinical assessments and other sources to: Advance evidence-based care planning and decision-making at all levels in organizations. Identify the need for and lead quality improvement activities. Lead education on standardized clinical assessments and related documentation. Participate as subject matter experts in discovery, adoption/validation and clinical information system optimization for the new Clinical Information System (EPIC-Connect Care).Description:Leadership: Provides leadership in the development and implementation of clinical practice resource guides. Leadership for provincial committees and working groups including interRAI Community of Practice, Continuing Care Assessment advisory group. Quality and Monitoring: Conducts on-site interRAI Quality Reviews across Alberta. Supports and monitors data and analytic resources to prioritize and support the review process. Clinical Practice: Provide clinical specialist expertise to support the adoption, implementation and sustained use of standardized clinical assessments, processes and practices in Continuing Care and to promote clinical best practice for safe, quality care. Demonstrates, promotes, facilitates and supports the provision of the quality of care Continuing Care Clients/Residents. Participate and/or leads as clinical subject matter experts adoption/validation and clinical information system design for the new Clinical Information System (CIS). Knowledge Translation and Implementation: Develop, coordinate and deliver educational materials and activities to AHS staff and partner organizations and be responsible for knowledge transfer based on adult education principles. Synthesize literature, data from clinical assessments, evaluations and translate data into information, standardized provincial training and resources. Identify and make recommendations for best practice, guidelines or policy development. Supports the maintenance of provincially standardized, evidence-based curriculum specific to user groups, regarding the implementation of clinical assessment related guidelines and toolkit of alternative care strategy resources. Research and Data: Subject matter expert for the monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the quality of information derived from standardized clinical interRAI assessments.

Required Qualifications:Masters\' degree in health related discipline or equivalent experience. Three (3) years of Clinical experience in a Continuing Care environment (CCH Type A or Type B, or Home and Community Care). Qualified interRAI Assessor in Alberta (compliance with education and exam requirements) Strong understanding/experience with interRAI suite of instruments (interRAI LTCF/interRAI Home Care, RAI MDS 2.0, Contact Assessment). Additional Required Qualifications:As required. Preferred Qualifications:Health professional as per Health Professions Act. Proven ability to foster relationships and partnerships with highly complex internal and external stakeholders. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
