Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards before they are released to customers. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze data will be crucial in identifying any defects or deviations from specifications. This is a vital role in maintaining our reputation for delivering top-quality products to our customers.

Objective:

To assist in the examination, inspection, calibration and/or diagnosis of all tools, components, systems, parts and materials per engineering/drawing/specifications; may require certification by customer requirement.

Work to be performed:



The following reflects the principal duties and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements, nor does it imply that all workers in this category perform all of these functions.

1. Maintain records; ensure documentation is updated; mark, stamp and file GRs; file first article documentation; complete inspection reports; assign identification numbers for traceability; check engineering orders are current; sign off GRs; maintain log books and history cards; change equipment charts; add process requirements to purchase order; attach release pending tag for certs/release notes

2. Complete dispositions; raise "request for testing"; attach "withhold tags" for lab reports; raise R&R forms for non-compliance; raise corrective action notice; raise snags

3. Verify proper times, temperature controls, recording equipment is calibrated, inspection using personal stamps, shop routings are accurate, parts to tools/drawings/mylars/specs, CNC tapes, split batches to requirements

4. Prepare inspection check list; ensure proper forms are filled in, defective material is identified, requirements met for material review

5. Complete VRRs; complete FAIs

6. Use blueprints, drawings, precision measuring instruments

7. Place thermocouples; perform hardness checks; Ensure proper inspection stamps are used and maintained

8. Perform first-off inspection, first article inspection

9. Inspect hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems

10. Clean parts as required

11. Inspect hardware; verify correct detail location; verify bond conditions and methods

12. Retrieve drawings, inspect charts and records, match test pieces to paperwork

13. Verify material updates, expiry dates

14. Perform freezer checks

15. Inspect trim and delamination; inspect viscosity and mil specs, paint reaction times; stamp cards for approval; verify clean line load tanks

16. Verify QAR stamps

17. Ensure quarantined parts placed in holding centre

18. Ensure parts are properly stored, wrapped

19. Audit cleaning procedures including racks

20. Perform tape tests, shipping inspection

21. Ensure correct procedures followed for vendor rejection, care and handling

22. Ensure skin surface meets requirements

23. Perform sampling inspection as required

24. May perform other related duties as required by the company

Requirements:



- 4-5 years experience in quality control or quality assurance roles
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications
- Familiarity with using tools such as calipers for precise measurements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
