Job Description

Hevvy/Toyo Pumps North America is a Canadian-owned OEM pump design, manufacturing, and distribution companylocated on the Fraser River in Coquitlam, BC. We are a family-owned and operated business that has been building heavy-duty slurry pumps for over 40 years.

We are looking to hire an experienced Quality Inspector/Sr. Quality Inspector with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment to join our growing team. This is a key position within our company as it supports multiple departments, ensures product quality at every stage, and upholds our reputation for reliability and excellence in the industry.

Responsibilities:



Verify supplier packing lists to the corresponding material during incoming inspection.

Perform

incoming, in-process, and final inspections of castings, machined, and fabricated parts for pumps.



Document and record inspection results and properly file hard and electronic copies.

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and schematics.

Initiate nonconformance reports (NCR's) for all nonconforming material.

Work closely with Quality Inspector and Shop Manager/Supervisor

Schedule and coordinate the calibration of all mechanical inspection tools by the outside calibration service.

Handles inspection of castings, machines and fabricated parts for pumps

Supporting materials, shipping and production departments as and when required

Contact customers and suppliers regarding quality issues.

Collect quality related data for trends, continuous improvements

Ensure that the documentation compliance is maintained to

ISO 9001:2015 standards.



Following all company OSSE Safety Policies/Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and Safe work practices

Participating in yearly health and safety training

Advise supervisor and other workers of hazards in the workplace and not undertake any work that appears unsafe

Using required PPE in designated work zones when required

Qualifications:



Minimum 3 years' experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing, machining, or fabrication environment.

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerancing.

Hands-on experience with castings, machining processes, and fabricated components.

Overhead crane and forklift experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs for reporting and documentation.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

Assets :



Experience using calipers, inside/outside micrometers, dial gauges, and hardness testers.

Diploma in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field.

Completion of quality-related training courses or certifications.

Experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and supplier quality management.

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
