About the Role



We are seeking a

Quality Inspection Supervisor

to lead inspection activities in a precision manufacturing environment that serves the

aerospace and nuclear industries

. This hands-on leadership role ensures compliance with

AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, CSA N299

, customer specifications, and nuclear documentation requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in

aerospace inspection

, experience with

precision measurement tools

, and prior exposure to

nuclear quality standards

. Candidates who have progressed from

inspector to leadership roles

in inspection or quality engineering will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities



Quality Oversight:

Develop, implement, and maintain inspection processes and procedures to meet aerospace and nuclear standards.

Team Leadership:

Supervise, train, and mentor inspection staff, managing workloads and priorities to meet production and delivery schedules.

Inspection Planning:

Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and assemblies; ensure proper calibration and use of inspection tools.

Non-Conformance Management:

Identify, document, and support corrective action activities to resolve non-conformances.

Audits & Compliance:

Participate in customer, regulatory, and third-party audits to ensure compliance with certifications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and QA teams to address quality issues and improve processes.

Reporting:

Analyze quality data, track KPIs, and present findings to management to drive continuous improvement.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed inspection and certification records, including nuclear-specific documentation requirements.

Source Inspection Coordination:

Prepare for and support customer and regulatory source inspections.

Qualifications



Education:



Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical, Aerospace, or Quality Engineering

preferred. Advanced certifications such as

ASQ Quality Manager

or

Six Sigma Black Belt

considered an asset.

Experience:



Minimum

5+ years in quality inspection

within aerospace manufacturing. At least

2 years in a supervisory or lead inspector role

. Experience in

nuclear projects

and familiarity with related specifications is highly valued. Strong knowledge of

AS9100, NADCAP, and CSA N299

requirements.

Skills & Abilities:



Proficiency with inspection tools:

CMM, micrometers, calipers, non-destructive testing equipment

. Strong understanding of QMS systems and ERP integration. Ability to read and interpret

blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings

. Effective leadership, communication, and team development skills. Hands-on, detail-oriented approach to solving problems and improving quality processes.
