The Operational Excellence and Quality Improvement team sits within the Quality, Equity and Care Experience Portfolio. The team works to promote and lead quality planning, improvement work, Accreditation and build quality improvement (QI) capacity and capability across Unity Health Toronto (UHT). The team's structure and practices support elevating the organization's performance to new heights by cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and streamlined operations.
The Barrett Centre for Quality Improvement (BCQI) is a key initiative within The Operational Excellence and Quality Improvement team. The Centre fosters a culture of continuous QI by building QI capacity among staff, learners, and patient and family partners. Reporting to the Manager, Barrett Centre for Quality Improvement, the Coordinator provides operational, administrative, and communications support to advance the Centre's initiatives. This role supports the development of a Community of Practice (CoP), coordinates the annual QI Symposium, assists in developing related communications and reports, and helps organize education and engagement activities that promote quality improvement and innovation across the organization.
