We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer familiar with Ford and GM portals and standards to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a strong background in quality assurance, quality control, and manufacturing processes. The Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product compliance with specifications.
Conduct thorough quality inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing process.
Analyze data related to product quality and performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in project management activities to ensure quality standards are integrated into all phases of product development.
Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, findings, and recommendations for management review.
Maintain documentation related to quality assurance activities, including inspection records and compliance reports.
Skills
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
Proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes and their impact on product quality.
Experience in quality control methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC).
Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and tools used in manufacturing environments.
In-depth understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 or similar standards.
Experience with QA/QC processes in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
