Job Description

Ritz Plastics Inc., ISO registered, is a plastics injection moulder located in Peterborough. In business since 1984, we provide product to the automotive industry as a Tier 2 and 3 supplier and ship globally.

Due to growth in our technology investments, we are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support the activities of the Production and Engineering Departments. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for the implementing, developing and improving manufacturing methods and plans within our organization.

Duties associated with this position are:

Assist with records, forms, revisions and procedures related to the requirements of the ISO 9001 quality system. Performing and documenting submissions to the customers as required. Assist with failure analysis, corrective and preventive actions of internal and customer concerns. Conducting quality system audits, including closing out audit findings. Implementation of continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system. Develop and provide training to build quality awareness. Support the quality technicians to ensure that products and processes comply with the requirements of the customer and quality system. Complete dimensional reports, capability studies and measurement systems analysis. Interact and collaborate with employees throughout the organization including machine operators, material handlers, set-up technicians and production supervisors, to solve manufacturing problems, improve processes and investigate concerns.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge and experience with APQP, 8D, MSA, PPAP, GD&T and Metrology. Degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering and relevant experience. Strong communication skills with management, co-workers, and production. Manufacturing experience is an asset. Proficient at reading blue prints Detail oriented and a quick learner. Knowledgeable about quality principles and methodologies including metrology and problem solving Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Pay: $55,000.00-$62,500.00 per year
