Job Summary
The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who performs quality work within deadlines, can interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Prepare and complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 and customer requirements.
Review Engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements to ensure compliance.
Collect and verify supporting documentation (certificates of conformance, test data, material certifications, etc.) for FAIs.
Create and maintain FAI packages in accordance with company and industry standards.
Support internal audits, process audits, and corrective actions related to FAIs findings.
Ensure accurate records and traceability for all FAI submissions.
Assist with training or mentoring operators or inspector on FAI requirements if needed.
Qualifications/Skills
Education: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Quality or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Experience performing FAIs per AS9100/AS9102 or equivalent aerospace standard.
Familiarity with Aerospace manufacturing processes and quality documentation.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications. Good attention to detail, effective communication with cross-functional teams. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and quality management systems.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an aerospace company as Quality coordinator or equivalent.
Technical degree in an industrial-related field (Quality, Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
Computer skills: MS Office, Quality Software, ERP System.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and time management with a demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of certification processes related to the aerospace industry.
Ability to work with production, engineering, and materials personnel.
