Dean Group's Office Division is now searching for a Quality Coordinator.
Role: Quality Coordinator
Location: Waterloo, ON
Industry: Medical Devices/Tech
Contract length: Temporary
Wage: $25-28/hour depending on experience
Hours: Fully onsite; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Primary Responsibilities

  • Sustain quality objectives by coordinating across teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant quality records related to complaint handling activities.
  • Perform daily triage of incoming customer complaints, escalating issues as needed to drive prompt resolution.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage the full complaint lifecycle, including receipt, documentation, investigation, reporting, and closure.
  • Conduct root cause investigations, prepare investigation reports, and support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities.
  • Collect and analyze complaint and process metrics, including RMA data, to generate trend and surveillance reports.
  • Perform independent reviews of quality records, such as Sterile Lot and DHR reviews.
  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including training management, document control, audit readiness, and development of procedures, forms, and process maps.
  • Assist with Computer System Validation (CSV) to ensure software compliance.
  • Lead and/or support audits (internal, customer, and third-party) and contribute to inspection readiness.
  • Participate in quality system improvement projects and the internal auditor program.
What you will need to be a successful Quality Coordinator:
  • College diploma in life sciences, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Quality Management Systems, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA Quality System Regulations preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous quality improvement.
