Position Overview:
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting operational excellence through the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes and systems. This role ensures compliance with established standards by conducting inspections, managing documentation, and analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. The Quality Coordinator plays a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, educating staff on quality practices, and collaborating with operations to maintain product integrity and process reliability.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update quality documentation, records, and reports; manage drop ball testing and ensure completion of quality checklists.
Collect, analyze, and interpret quality-related data; conduct inspections, audits, and tests to ensure adherence to standards; identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
Educate staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Perform water quality control testing and monitor daily quality control of grinding media; maintain incoming bar quality evaluation system and perform calibration checks on production equipment.
Collaborate with operations on production, quality, and maintenance issues impacting product quality.
Maintain plant standard practice system, update JSA's, circulate management of change notifications, and manage configuration of quality/safety documents.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree in a related field (quality assurance, manufacturing, or engineering).
Strong interest in process and quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Compensation and Benefits:
Expected Total Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 per year
