Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control standards by inspecting, testing and approving of incoming raw materials, reagent formulations, reagent biologicals, in-process sub-assemblies and finished products.
Responsibilities include:
Inspection and approval of incoming raw materials.
Approval and reconciliation of labels.
Perform microbiological testing of in-process and finished products.
Conduct tests for bioburden, stability and validation samples.
Cleaning and sanitization of work areas.
Create, revise, review and/or approve control documents including standard operating procedures, manufacturing instructions, book of methods, material specifications, and reagent formulations.
Participate in Raw Material Qualification, Stability Validation and Equipment Validation
Participate in nonconformance investigations.
Investigate customer complaints and inquiries.
Daily monitoring of temperature of refrigerators, incubators and equipment.
Documentation review including batch records, equipment maintenance and calibration records, cleaning and sanitization checks and etc.
Calibration of Pipettes
Maintenance of bacteria culture collection.
Preparation of culture media.
Create Certificates of Analyses.
Perform all work in a safe manner and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Perform related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in a microbiology discipline preferred.
Working experience in an ISO and GMP compliant environment, and knowledge in ISO13485.
Minimum 2-3 years experience working in a Quality Control microbiology laboratory.
Core Competencies:
Candidate must be proficient with the use of a personal computer (PC) and associated software (Windows, MS Office, etc.).
Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Candidate must be fluent in English (verbal and written).
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Biology, Microbiology, or related discipline required from a recognized university.
