Adecco is currently seeking a diligent Quality Control Technician to join our clients team on a temporary to possibly permanent basis in Mississauga, ON. The primary role involves conducting quality control inspections, managing product packaging, resolving supplier technical issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and experience in quality control within the manufacturing and technology industry.

  • Location: Mississauga, ON
  • Pay Rate: $33/hour.
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Job type: Temporary with possibility of going permanent | Full-time.

Detailed : As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Performing quality control functions including incoming, first article, and field returns inspection.
  • Approving or rejecting incoming materials based on specifications and conducting necessary tests.
  • Managing product packaging and designing specialized crating for DC & AC Power and Thermal products.
  • Communicating with product planners, engineers, and suppliers regarding product validations.
  • Monitoring and improving key supply chain KPIs, including OTD.
  • Resolving supplier technical issues to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
  • Processing freight claims and warranty returns efficiently.
  • Utilizing data analysis and 8D problem-solving for process improvement.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders and effectively prioritizing assignments.
Candidate\'s Profile: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Technical Degree or similar experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and 8D problem-solving. Six Sigma (DAMIC) experience is a plus.
  • Strong quality control, warehousing, and logistic understanding.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office. Smart Sheet experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with MRP, and EDI systems (Oracle is preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. occasionally and perform physical tasks.
