JOB ASSIGNMENT:

As a member of our Burnaby, BC team within your role as our Jr. Quality Control Technician, you will perform assigned duties related to monitoring compliance with quality assurance requirements in a union manufacturing environment in accordance with established procedures.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:



Check and verify the accuracy and adequacy of materials certification for stock, commercial and documentation packages. Communicate with customers and suppliers as required to complete assigned duties. Prepare manufacturing document packages and inspection records for submittal to customers. Data entry and report generation. Related clerical duties including document filing, copying, scanning etc. Assist with the investigation and analysis of non-conforming condition reports. Assist in the preparation of departmental manuals, procedures and forms. Attend meetings and report results. Conduct special process monitoring for in-house compliance to established and approved procedures. Conduct in-house audits, under supervision, to establish compliance to company quality assurance procedures. May be required to visit suppliers' facilities to conduct contract surveillance and witness testing and examination as required. Support, cooperate with and participate in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Perform other duties as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:



The ideal candidate will have some experience in a manufacturing industrial setting. Minimum high school or vocational school graduate. Courses or training in quality assurance with knowledge of ISO standards and documentation preparation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform in a team oriented environment.

Experience or knowledge of the following will be considered assets:



Mechanical drawing, welding and machine shop practices. SAP software. Non-destructive examination. Technical report writing.

SKILL PREFERENCES - HOW YOU CAN STAND OUT:



Experience in manufacturing, construction, military, medical or other industry related fields are transferable for the right candidate. Strong planning, organizational, problem solving, communication, and relationship building skills are essential. A desire to be the hands-on collaborator in a manufacturing facility.

Required

: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, and able to travel internationally as may be needed for the role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $31.50-$35.50 per hour
