Position Overview

: As Quality Control Supervisor in the Aerospace Industry, you will oversee the quality control operations within the aerospace sector, ensuring all products and processes meet stringent industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in quality control, preferably within the aerospace industry. The Quality Control Supervisor will lead a team of quality inspectors and engineers, drive continuous improvement and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in all aerospace products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:



Leadership & Management:



Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality control inspectors and engineers. Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures. Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and set goals.

Quality Assurance:



Oversee the inspection and testing of aerospace components and products to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Assist in the continued implementation of quality assurance protocols, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address non-conformities.

Continuous Improvement:



Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance product quality and efficiency. Assist in quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans to address any deviations.

Regulatory Compliance:



Assist in continued compliance with all applicable aerospace industry regulations and standards. Assist in Preparing and maintaining necessary documentation for audits and certifications. Assist in Coordinating and facilitating external audits and inspections.

Customer & Supplier Interaction:



Collaborate with customers to address quality concerns and provide technical support. Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance, conducting audits as necessary. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:



Education & Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality control within the aerospace industry. Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

Skills & Competencies:



In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and regulations in the aerospace industry. Proficiency in quality management systems, including AS9100 and ISO 9001. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed inspections and root cause analysis. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related methodologies is highly desirable.

Other Requirements:



Applicants will be screened for the requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program and must pass relevant criminal background checks. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to work primarily in a manufacturing / production environment where employees will be required to stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time. Ability to work in an environment with exposure to moderate noise levels, dust, varying temperatures, hazardous materials and compliance to safety precautions. Compliance with proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in or travelling through an environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols. Able to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 25 pounds Good vision (corrected as needed) to discern fine details.
