Reporting to our Regional Quality Manager. The incumbent is responsible for leading the quality systems and process control strategy for production-related processes.



They will lead efforts to analyze and reduce process variation, develop preventative measures, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Additionally, they will collaborate with Production, Warranty, Research and Development, Product Management, and other key functional areas to achieve key organizational objectives, with a focus on quality and process control systems.



The Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for:


Managing the quality assurance function and its staff within the plant. Leading the design and implementation of the plant's quality management system to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Proactively plan, control, and ensure product and process quality in accordance with established quality principles to eliminate potential sources of failure. This includes planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure quality standards are incorporated into new products and processes so that production performance and yield meet required standards. Lead the change management process within the plant to identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks associated with planned changes. Define and oversee audits of raw materials, products, and processes to ensure finished products meet specified requirements at the time of manufacture and prior to shipment. Manage the development, maintenance, and compliance of local standard work documentation, such as quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions. Oversee or implement the development of measurement tools for product and process evaluation including calibration.

COMPOUND DEPARTMENT:


Supervise the compound department and ensure all operations are carried out in compliance with safety and quality standards ensuring that production schedules are met Monitor the performance of the compound equipment and collaborate with other departments to take corrective action as needed to maintain optimal productivity.


IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

QUALIFICATIONS:




Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a similar discipline Degree or certification in quality control; 2-5 years of relevant experience Excellent organizational, project management, multitasking, and prioritization skills Experience developing and maintaining quality assurance programs and work instructions Innovative and creative problem-solving to identify solutions and opportunities Basic understanding of the audit process, including audit types, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up Previous experience in the PVC siding industry (an asset)
