We are a boutique cosmetics contract manufacturing company based in Richmond Hill, ON, specializing in skincare, beauty, and personal care products. We provide turnkey solutions to brands of all sizes, combining innovation, flexibility, and quality. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a QC Inspector to join our Quality team and help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of safety, consistency, and compliance.

Role Overview

The QC Inspector is responsible for performing in-process inspections, documentation reviews, and product audits on the production line to ensure compliance with GMP and company quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining product quality, investigating deviations, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in-process inspections and product sampling during manufacturing and filling operations. Conduct line clearance checks before and after production runs. Review batch production records, verify reconciliation calculations, and report deviations or non-conformances to QA management. Inspect product appearance, fill levels, weights, labeling, and packaging integrity against approved standards. Prepare and complete inspection reports and assist with batch record completion prior to product release. Support root cause investigations for quality incidents and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Participate in GMP audits, report findings, and follow up on corrective measures. Maintain documentation and ensure all QC activities comply with internal procedures and GMP standards. Assist in training production staff on quality requirements and GMP awareness. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. 2-3 years of Quality Control or Assurance experience in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of GMP principles, production documentation, and quality inspection practices. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with production and QA teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice to Have

Experience in process validation, internal audits, or CAPA investigations. Knowledge of statistical quality control or Six Sigma methodologies. CQE or related quality certification.
