Tasks

Prepare reports on products inspected Inspect manufactured plastic products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards Mark and re-route defective products for repair or recycle Make minor adjustments or repairs to products Train workers in duties and policies Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Apply quality control procedure Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments Maintain quality control and production records Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification Complete detailed inspection documentation Collect, record and summarize inspection results Check products for quality control Check information gathered for completeness and accuracy Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Follow-up on issues with work orders Conduct quality control Inspect processes Inspect final products
