Windsor Feedscrews Inc. (WFI) is a full-service manufacturing facility specializing in the manufacturing, repair, and rebuilding of feed screws. We also supply barrels, tips, end caps, feed housings, and a wide range of machined components serving the plastics extrusion, injection, and blow molding industries, as well as rubber, food, and other industrial sectors.

With over 30 years in business, WFI is known for precision machining, tight tolerances, and high-quality workmanship. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector who will also support Shipping & Receiving operations.

Job Summary



The Quality Control Inspector role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. This position also supports receiving materials and coordinating outgoing shipments.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to work independently with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities



Quality Control

Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools Read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings Document inspection results and report non-conformances Ensure products meet customer and internal quality standards Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives Assist in resolving quality-related issues and customer concerns
Shipping & Receiving

Receive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders Prepare finished products for shipment (inspection, packaging, labeling) Complete shipping paperwork and verify quantities Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area Operate overhead crane (asset)

Qualifications & Requirements



High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years experience in a quality inspection or similar role preferred Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and manual gauges Strong blueprint reading and machining drawing interpretation skills Good math, technical, and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Machine shop experience considered an asset Overhead crane experience an asset Training provided to the right candidate

Work Conditions



Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Steel-toed boots and safety glasses required Overtime as required Machine shop environment
