Quality Control Inspector





As part of the Metallurgical Engineering & Inspection department at Braya Renewable Fuels, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for conducting examinations and inspections on repairs and alterations to pressure-retaining items, monitoring materials and consumables for code compliance, Monitor welding both in the shop and the process area to ensure procedures are being followed and that welds are only being completed by qualified welders, assist in maintaining the Metallurgical Engineering and Inspection Department's Equipment Records and ensure Quality Packages are completed properly

Responsibilities



Perform inspections and tests on materials, components, and completed work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards Verify welding, fabrication, and assembly processes meet established quality requirements Conduct and document NDT inspections (e.g., MT, PT, UT, RT) as certified and required Review and interpret technical drawings, isometric drawings, and welding procedures Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare detailed reports on findings and non-conformances Monitor and verify repairs or corrective actions to ensure compliance before final acceptance Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to resolve quality issues in a timely manner Participate in audits, quality reviews, and root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement Ensure that all work adheres to company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and documentation

Qualifications



Engineering Technology Diploma or have equivalent knowledge and experience Level II Visual Inspection certification (CWB) Level II CGSB Certifications in Magnetic Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) required; additional certifications considered an asset API or NBIC certification Familiar with applicable codes and standards including the National Board Inspection Code Minimum of 3 years of work-related refinery experience Valid Class 5 driver's license Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environment
