The Position:
We're looking for our next great team member! We need one Quality Control Inspector to ensuring quality standards are met across Polyfab's thermoplastic manufacturing operations. This role focuses on in-process and final inspections, documentation accuracy, NCR management, and quality verification prior to delivery. We do custom, specialized work, join our team and be a part of amazing products and projects.
What You Will Do:
Conduct in-process and final inspections of thermoplastic products, assemblies, and welds.
Identify quality issues early and take appropriate action, including stop-work authority when required.
Verify compliance with internal quality standards and applicable welding requirements.
Support future expansion into Steel inspection as required.
Write and issue NCRs for internal quality issues.
Act as the lead owner for NCR completion and tracking.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure NCRs are documented and closed.
Implementation of corrective actions is the responsibility of the Production Manager.
Ensure inspection records, NCRs, and quality documentation are accurate, complete, and properly filed.
Review production and delivery documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Maintain organized inspection and quality records.
Inspect outgoing shipments for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Verify loads are properly prepared, secured, and photographed prior to dispatch.
Work collaboratively with Operations and Production to support quality objectives.
Provide guidance to the Thermoplastic team on quality expectations and standards.
Support continuous improvement through identification of recurring quality issues.
What You Bring:
Strong understanding of thermoplastic fabrication and welding processes.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with production and operations teams.
Organized, methodical, and quality-focused approach.
3-5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or fabrication environments.
Experience in thermoplastic manufacturing preferred.
Steel fabrication experience considered an asset for future expansion.
No fixed timeline for Level 2 Inspector certification; progression will be assessed based on business need and individual development.
