Quality Control (QC) Inspector

PRE Labs Inc. is a Kelowna-based manufacturer of ballistic panels, carriers, and protective equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented

Quality Control (QC) Inspector

to support factory-wide quality inspection across ballistic and carrier manufacturing.

This is a hands-on role focused on inspection, defect identification, and quality verification throughout multiple stages of production. The successful candidate will be confident making independent decisions and has the authority to stop work for review when quality concerns are identified.

Key Responsibilities

Perform factory-wide quality inspections across ballistic panels and carriers Conduct ballistic layup inspections, mid-process inspections, and final inspections Perform in-process and final inspections of carriers during manufacturing Identify, document, and communicate defects or non-conformances Maintain accurate QC records and defect tracking documentation Exercise stop-work authority when quality risks are identified Support corrective actions and verify effectiveness before work resumes Communicate clearly with Operations, Production, Design, and Supply Chain teams Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and defect reduction

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in a quality control or inspection role Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications (Excel required) Strong communication and documentation skills

Assets (Preferred)

Textile or sewn-goods manufacturing experience Sewing experience Familiarity with CAD software General manufacturing or production experience

Working Conditions

Full-time, on-site role at our Kelowna facility Clean, air-conditioned manufacturing environment Significant standing and walking throughout the day Light lifting required
