Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Engineer with experience in precast concrete, GFRC, or FRP mold manufacturing. The QC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring production quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Duties



Inspect precast concrete panels, GFRC/ UHPC products, and molds during production to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct dimensional checks, surface finish inspections, and structural evaluations. Prepare and maintain QC reports, inspection checklists, and non-conformance records. Work closely with the production team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions. Verify installation of embeds, anchors, and reinforcement as per approved shop drawings. Ensure all QC documentation is properly maintained for client submittals. Monitor and record material tests, including concrete mix, reinforcement, and other inputs. Support audits and client inspections when required. Assist in developing and improving quality control processes and procedures.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Technology, or related field. 1+ years of experience in quality control within precast concrete, GFRC, or FRP manufacturing (preferred). Strong knowledge of precast production processes, reinforcement details, and architectural finishes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with CSA, ASTM, and other relevant industry standards. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), knowledge of ERP systems is an asset.
