The Biologics Manufacturing Center (BMC) Inc. is a new biomanufacturing facility created in response to the pandemic. A not-for-profit organization, the BMC aims to better meet the biopharmaceutical needs of Canadians. We are looking for a

Quality Control Analyst

to join our team in charge of the biological analysis of in-process products, intermediates, and finished products. The individual will also participate in the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods.



The

Analyst

will have the following responsibilities:

Perform analyses on products and proteins using analytical and compendial methods Compile, read, and record data related to tests and reports in compliance with SOPs and GMP requirements, while ensuring data integrity Participate in the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods Draft and review documentation related to quality control Contribute to managing laboratory material inventory and order new items as needed Collaborate on investigations of out-of-specification or out-of-trend results Issue certificates of analysis; Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment Complete all assigned training; Use scientific expertise to provide support for diagnostics, laboratory investigations, and problem-solving Comply with and promote established health and safety guidelines, processes, and procedures, including risk identification.

You hold at least a college diploma (DEC) in Laboratory Technology or a similar discipline You have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in biological analyses focused on proteins, DNA, or RNA A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered You are very comfortable using micropipettes You easily communicate in French and have an intermediate level of English, enabling you to write reports or explain your results to clients outside the province of Quebec.

It supports the growth of the country's biologics production capacity, ensuring that vaccines and other related products can be manufactured safely, right here at home.
