POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Product Security Capability Development team, the student will be involved in the design, implementation and execution of automated test cases that assist in the verification and validation of product functionality. In this role, the student will learn about security tools while creating test cases using Robot Framework, a keyword driven test framework, and Selenium.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify software functions according to specifications, user requirements, problem reports, and other appropriate documentation

Develop automated tests as well as execute system level manual tests against the software the team developers

Develop, execute and maintain automated test tools/scripts

Create and maintain test plans and other documents to assist in the testing process

Investigate and debug issues found during the design and execution of the tests

Contribute to team deliverables through involvement in our agile scrum development process

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Experience authoring/maintaining test artifacts, defect tracking, and debugging, preferably within a Windows environment.

Experience with scripting languages such as Python and shell

Some familiarity with database design and SQL

Knowledge of using automated test frameworks to develop tests and test suites (Robot Framework, Selenium)

Detail oriented, with good verbal and written communication skills.
